For travel writer Julie Catalano, of San Antonio, Texas, it was a chance to actually spend time visiting Michigan, a state that she had only spent one day in many years before.
"I was in Detroit years ago for the filming of a TV pilot that wasn't picked up," she said.
"That was the only time I have been in Michigan. West Michigan is a beautiful area. The tulips are beautiful, the people are friendly, and I can't think of a single thing that I wouldn't want to come back and rediscover." Read full story here
